Devastation

You know, people throw around the word "devastation" a lot. One scenario: two girls wearing the same dress to a public function is "devastating". Not being able to get tickets to a popular concert or event is "devastating". However, true devastation to me is losing everything you have—materials, people, hope, happiness.
